Street Barrier Chair

This upcycle project uses Street Barrier which has been used in pandemic period. Currently being widely recycled due to its lack of use. During the pandemic, these red plastic barriers were used to control the flow of people on the streets. Standing tall like walls, These barriers evoke haunting memories of the unfiar control during the pandemic. They enforced the government's relentless lockdowns, leaving people immobile and engulfed in fear. When the roads reopened and the city came back to life, these barriers became obsolete. Many were sent to plastic factories to be melted down and repurposed. These barriers symbolize an unforgettable chapter of the pandemic. I've transformed them into a small chair that wobbles like an unsteady child, serving as a reflection on the harsh controls we endured during that time.
