Threaded Veneer
This is a veneer that is connected using thread and then stitched together. I tentatively call it "Threaded veneer." In this project, I initially wanted to add the characteristics of stitches to the wood, so in the early stages of the design, I cut the veneer into small pieces of varying sizes and then tried to stitch them together. It's somewhat like the structure of a Tangram puzzle. Then I discovered that, aside from ensuring that the stitching at the joints isn't too close to the edges to prevent splitting, the stitched veneer is not as fragile as one might think.
